You want more power for your SD or
GP? No problem. Use one of our power solutions. From the bottom, left
to right, going up, we have the GP 6.7 volt regulator. This steps down
a 12 volt battery to a constant, non-fluctuating 6.7 volts. This is
the perfect fully topped off battery level that a GP operates best at.

The next is the SD series 7.3 volt regulator, which takes a 12 volt
battery and regulates it down to a powerful 7.3 volts, which is ideal
for SD machines. Not recommended for the GP !

Next row up, the COILTEK 12 volt detector battery charger for use in
your car. Will not let the battery overcharge. I'm sorry but I
actually forgot how much these are as we just got them in the last
shipment.

Next, the 12 volt 5 amp hour battery. Usually people prefer using this
battery because is only weighs 3 lbs. 3 ounces, and change to a new
one at lunch time.

Next is the 12 volt 7.2 amp hour
battery. This one lasts all day long, but at 5 lbs. 3 ounces it is
weighty!

Next row is the 12 Volt Smart Charger, that safely charges all 12 volt
batteries and maintains their charge. Even you car battery ! This is
made to use in your house hooked up to ac current. However, if you
want to use the Smart Charger in your car simply buy the next item
which is the power inverter. You plug the power inverter into your
car, and the Smart Charger into the inverter. Now you have a total ac
and dc power solution.

Next is the AC to DC
converter. If you want to safely charge your 6 volt batteries in the
house, we suggest you use your Minelab car charger, and plug it into
the converter in the house. The Minelab car charger will not let you
overcharge your 6 volt battery unlike the Minelab ac charger. I
recommend that people never use the supplied Minelab AC charger,
unless they want to fry their battery.

Got too many 6 volt batteries and,
chargers and assorted goodies but you would still like to have 7.2
volts plus power for your SD, without having to buy different
batteries, chargers etc. The new DeTacc Super Regulator made
especially to my specifications. It takes your standard 6 volt Minelab
battery and boosts it to 7.2 plus volts. And it maintains that
constant 7.2 volt output until your battery voltage drops to 5.6
volts.
If your battery gets too low, the low battery warning light on the
regulator will come on to advise you to change batteries!
The regulator is small and
attaches to the side of your detector with the supplied velcro. You
plug the regulator into the detector and the power cord into the
regulator.
In this case I have actually ran the output of the voltage regulator
through our new VOLTAGE/AMPERAGE meter to show you that the 6 volt
battery is being boosted to 7.25 volts !
And here is the best part, the step up regulator is 90% effective in
power consumption. Usually you will get 1 hour of use for each amp
hour of power the battery has. So if you are using the 6 volt 12 amp
hour battery you will have more than enough power for a whole day of
detecting with one battery!

Maybe you're just a purest who
likes to use the regular old 6 volt batteries with no enhancements.
You don't care about stepping up or stepping down, we have regular
power solutions for you too.
A.
Is the Smart Charger AC Battery Minder adapted so you can safely
charge your 6 volt Minelab dome top in your house off of AC current.
Leave it plugged in all the time to safely monitor the battery level
and keep it topped off for peak performance. If you have generic
batteries you simply unlug the four prong Minelab adapter from the
Smart charger and plug the pigtail end into your generic battery. If
you want to use the Smart Charger in your car, simply get the power
inverter listed above. $69.95

B.
This is a generic 6 volt 12 amp hour battery. It is exactly the same
battery that Minelab uses, just a different brand, that has no dome
top. It has a pigtail plug that uses the Termination Box "D".
The Termination Box serves the
same function as the Dome Top, it provides a four prong male plug on
one side for your power cord, and a 1/4 inch headphone jack on the
other side for your headphones.
By using a generic 6 volt 12 amp hour battery with a pigtail you pay,
$40. The Termination Block is $33, but you only need one, you simply
move it from battery to battery instead of paying all that extra money
for a dome top.

C.
Is our generic 6 volt 7 amp hour battery. For most detectorists, this
battery wil last all day long, and it is a fraction of the weight of
the 12 amp hour. I have found that the Minelab 4.5 amp hour battery
doesn't last long enough, and the 12 amp hour is just too heavy, at
only $28 this battery weighs and is priced just about right. Again use
the "D" Termination Block with this battery to duplicate the function
of the dome top.

Still like the DOME TOP concept? No problem. Here's the light weight 6
volt 7 amp hour version. Has the same internal thermal protection
breaker as Minelab.

Want the standard 6 volt 12 amp hour DOME TOP? Ours has the same
internal thermal protection breaker as Minelab. Only difference is the
price!

G.
Don't you love the fact that if you want to charge your Minelab dome
top battery with your Minelab car charger, you have to use your Power
Cord to do it? I mean, how do you detect, and charge a battery at the
same time if you only have one power cord? You can't ! Unless you have
our SD/GP short charging lead for Dome top batteries.

This next item, is a must have for serious detectorists. A voltage
amperage meter that is made specifically for your SD/GP batteries, as
well as 12 volt batteries. You can hook this meter up in-line to see
what your battery power status is at any given time. You can also
simply plug it into a battery to see what the voltage level is.
Ever wondered how many amps
different coils draw? Switch to the amperage function and get a read
out. In this next picture you can see that when hooked up to the step
up voltage regulator, using a Wallaby coil on a SD machine, the
detector is drawing a little less than 1 amp per hour, in this case it
is drawing .93 amps. DeTacc In Line Voltage Meter
